Nomad Life

Ah how I miss the days I used to pick up and move or travel whenever I wanted. Hopping in cars with friends, jumping on a friends tour bus, buying a plane or train ticket to go on a split second decision adventure. This last weekend I got to revisit that part of my life, and I loved every minute of it. I’ve been living in Toronto for a year now, and i’ve been feeling a little stir crazy. I had some friends in town on friday who were traveling to Cleveland that night, and after hanging out here in town, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. I thanked my lucky stars that I had my passport on me, and made my way across the border with them. We stopped in buffalo for a hot minute, so Derek, Jake and I went on a mission for tacos. We then continued on our way to Cleveland. I managed to sleep in most of the day due to the previous nights festivities haha! Woke up around 3ish, brushed my teeth ( I also just happened to have my toothbrush in my purse haha), stretched my legs a little, hung out watching Wild Boyz, and tried not to fall back asleep. Saw a bunch of people I hadn’t seen in forever and caught up a little, grabbed some food, watched a show, then it was party time….AGAIN. Open bars are dangerous, but I managed to keep it together haha! I hung out with my friends till 2am, then booked it to the greyhound station so i could be home in Toronto for work by 10am the next morning. I slept the whole way home, and made it to town by 9am. Grabbed breakfast and some coffee, went to work, left early, took a nap, then headed back out to see some other friends who were in town for a couple days. Again, I saw a bunch of people I hadn’t seen in a while, we went to a club and things got rowdy. My friend Sierra and I pretty much took over the dance floor, and failed at trying to take a good pic of us hanging out haha! Took a cab home, and passed out. Thank goodness I had today off, cause I didn’t leave my bed all day! So that was my fun little adventure weekend. Thanks to all the friends who hung out, and thanks to Jake and Co for giving me a ride/place to sleep on friday night :) Time to go back to real life tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it! I’m sure a new adventure will find me soon.
